Your guide to our process
Every project starts with a chat with one of our Home Specialist, they'll help establish your brief, budget, requirements for your new home, and guide you through the products and services available to you.
Your step-by-step guide through our process

1
Initial meeting
Our House Specialist will be in touch to arrange a meeting with you to discuss your needs and aspirations for your build. This will be followed by an introduction to our Architectural team, where we will do a free desktop study that researches the likelihood of gaining planning permission on your plot, and determine the best planning strategy for your project.

2
Architectural process
Our Architectural team will work with you to design your dream home, from initial research of your plot, planning applications, site plans, floor plans, and elevations and will create your Building Regulations package once planning is approved.

3
Conceptual panel design
Our estimating team will develop a conceptual panel design using the Architectural design for your home. The conceptual design will incorporate any specific features that you wish to include such as porches, glazing etc.

4
Your quotation for our products and services
Once you are happy with your design, your Homes Specialist will provide you with a quotation for your project, along with complementary products such as joists, joinery and weatherboarding and for your chosen services such as Turnkey Project Management and AeroBarrier Technology.

5
Introduction to your dedicated team
After signing your contract, your Homes Specialist will introduce you to your dedicated, design, production and site teams.

6
Your 3D model review
You'll be invited to visit the Oakwrights show home, 'The Woodhouse' for a walk-through of your 3D digital model. This working meeting is where your project begins to come to life. You'll review and finalise design requirements and consider your build in detail. It's also an ideal opportunity to invite your main contractor along to align all involved in your project. A relaxing stay at our show home will also allow you time to gather your thoughts before your build gathers pace.

7
Design refinement
2D drawings will be sent to you and your building regulations team member and/or contractor for approval. Once approved, all our drawings are shared with an independent structural engineer for scheme checking and approval. Once the design is signed off, further detailed design work continues.

8
Production
Once your designs are finalised, your project manager will be your main point of contact. Your panel system will go through production, being ready for site in around 3 months. During this time your builder will need to dig your foundations according to the masonry levels plan. Your dedicated Project Manager will liaise with your builder to help the smooth running of your project.

9
On site
Your dedicated project manager will visit you on site, they will measure your floor pad to ensure it is safe and correct to receive your pre-insulated panels. Once they have signed this off, a 40-ton crane and its driver will arrive on-site on a pre-arranged date to help unload your panels and assist the site crew to safely assemble your new home.
